Launching of Geomatics Laboratory
The College of Agriculture launched its new Geomatics laboratory last August 18 in room 204 of the Agriculture Building. The state-of-the-art laboratory comprises of eight client workstations and one server computer connected by a wireless network, eight GPS units, two plotters, one high resolution scanner, one image digitizer and a LCD projector. The laboratory will be used for training and research of faculty, staff and students of the College and other interested clients. Initially, the hard- and software will enable the users to map and analyze information related to agriculture and environmental management. The laboratory was funded by a grant of the Asia IT&C Program of the European Commission.
