800 Highschoolers Visit Ecosan & Allotment Garden Demo
More than 800 students from different high schools of Cagayan de Oro visited the St. Ignatius Allotment Garden during the Academic Exhibits and Technological Demonstration as part of the Manresa Days celebration on August 17, 2007.
The ecological sanitation and integrated vegetable production projects of PUVeP were one of the 17 stations organized by the College of Agriculture to promote agriculture in general and the different undergraduate programs offered by the College in special.
PUVeP staff Clarito A. Santos, Glenda Y. Sol, Stephen O. Lee and Elmer G. Elorde Jr. explained and demonstrated the different technologies to the excited students. The potable water station and sweet corn sales area manned by Arnel A. Aquino and the rest of the PUVeP team were another attraction on this busy morning which were flooded by thirsty and hungry students.
