As part of the activity, update reports from the different allotment gardens were given by the respective presidents, their issues were discussed by the plenary. Of special concern were the land tenure issues in Gusa and Kauswagan and Dr. Holmer committed that this will be brought up to the city government and barangay administration to look for an amicable solution.
Dr. Holmer further gave an overview of the planned activities for 2007/2008 with special mentioning of the new allotment garden being presently set up in Macasandig for additional 20 families as well as the donation from Belgium to establish a 9th allotment garden in the city. He also announced that the search for the best allotment garden of the city is on and that the awarding will be hold during the 4th Allotment Garden Day this coming December 1, 2007 at Xavier University.
